That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.
1 Timothy 4:10
In 2022, the Community Connection Group was pleased to find out that what had formerly been known as Clark’s Corner, also located on Broad Street had been deeded with intentions to serve the soup kitchen and its needs. The opportunity to create a home for the organization that would have running water, electricity and even a full-service kitchen was now presenting itself. The possibilities were endless. The groups came together to brainstorm the next step realizing that a door had been opened that would allow them to not only serve breakfast on Saturday’s, but possibly grow it into something much more. It was a hope that many might call crazy. The building needed so many repairs that starting from scratch was the only option. Crazy? Maybe, but if Lindsey Byrd had listened to those who had told her that creating a soup kitchen was crazy idea, there would be many in our small community who may never get a hot meal. It was decided that the soup kitchen needed a real name and what better than Crazy Hope Community Center.
All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.
Acts 4:32
